an exploration of architecture
and acoustics
i use the saxophone as a source
to create sounds and an experimental recording process
inspired by alvin lucier’s composition ‘i am sitting in a room’
to reveal the resonant tones of a location.
tones and harmony relate to
spatial relationships, architectural features, volumes or distances.
modulations and tonal
variations occur as sound moves around the place and resonate the
physical features of the building.
the sounds you hear are a
direct representation of architecture.
